The One-Year Program is designed for psychologists, general practitioners, and other mental health professionals who wish to deepen their clinical thinking without undertaking a formal endorsement pathway.

Yes. Insight offers ongoing individual and group supervision for psychologists seeking continued psychodynamic-informed professional development beyond endorsement.

Not at all. Many participants come from CBT, ACT, systemic, humanistic, or integrative backgrounds. What matters most is curiosity, openness to new ways of thinking, and a genuine interest in understanding the complexity of people's lives — because whatever your starting point, the training itself is grounded throughout in contemporary psychodynamic thinking.

The Standard rate is $1,460 per term, or $5,840 per year. Early Bird registration (by 20 October 2026) is $1,260 per term, or $5,040 per year. A $500 registration deposit applies. Including individual supervision needed to meet all AHPRA requirements, the estimated total is approximately $9,900 to $10,700 per year.

Bursaries are available for applicants experiencing financial hardship — enquire at the time of registration.

The 2027 intake begins with Term 1 in the week of 1 February 2027, and runs across four eight-week terms per year (weekly, two-hour sessions) over two years. Term 2 begins the week of 12 April 2027, Term 3 the week of 12 July 2027, and Term 4 the week of 4 October 2027.

The program is available online or in person in Brisbane.

Seminars are usually scheduled during the week, late afternoon from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Together with individual supervision, Insight provides the necessary supervision and professional development to enable you to meet AHPRA endorsement requirements.

The program can be seen “as a one-stop shop”. For a Master’s graduate, the Psychology Board of Australia requires 3,000 registrar program hours in total, including 80 hours of supervision with a Board-approved supervisor and 80 hours of active CPD. Up to 33 per cent of supervision may be completed as small group supervision — approximately 26 of the 80 hours — which you will gain through the weekly teaching blocks.

The remaining 54 hours of individual supervision may be arranged through an Insight Board-approved supervisor, or with a supervisor of your choosing.

Your registrar program must be approved by the Psychology Board before it begins. We can assist you with that application.

Yes. All graduates receive a Certificate of Completion recording their achievement of the goals of the program.
