Both the Registrar Program and the One-Year Program incorporate group supervision as an integral part of learning. Individual supervision is also available for registrars and practitioners seeking more personalised guidance and ongoing professional development.
Reflective and Relational Supervision
Good supervision creates space to think. Rather than focusing simply on case management or problem-solving, supervision encourages clinicians to slow down, reflect on the therapeutic relationship, and develop confidence in their own clinical thinking.
The supervisory relationship itself models something important. It is characterised by a willingness to sit with uncertainty rather than rush past it — qualities that gradually become part of the clinician's own therapeutic practice.
Working with Complexity
The most valuable supervision often centres on the cases that are hardest to understand: those that evoke strong emotional responses, resist straightforward formulation, or challenge our assumptions about therapy.
